The Junior League of Greater Elmira-Corning, Inc. is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration and training. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The Junior League of Greater Elmira-Corning is creating real change in the Southern Tier by advancing social activism-focused projects that directly benefit our local community. This work is done through volunteerism and sponsored grants.

The Junior League of Greater Elmira Corning is thrilled to announce our 2nd Annual Mother-Daughter Dance: Glow On And Dance!

 

This year’s glowing, grooving event will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Horseheads Elk Lodge.

JLGEC IN ACTION

  • Since 2021, we’ve given out nearly 50k diapers and 25k menstrual products to the community during various diaper drives.  In 2025 we aligned with CIDS to provide a greater impact for those in need.

  • In the 24-25 league year, the Junior League of Greater Elmira Corning demonstrated its commitment to the community by awarding member-sponsored grants to various organizations, each with a unique focus on improving the lives of community members: Finn Academy, CareFirst Nursing Scholarship fund and more.

  • Our 2023-2024 New Members raised over $6,000 in our inaugural Mother-Daughter Dance

  • League board member attended the Executive Training Institute February 2025 in San Diego, California

  • December 2024 the league hosted our first Jingle Jam Family roller skating event, raising money to provide a community dinner at the Neighborhood Transformation Center
